The Rota do Atlântico Concessionaire (CRA) began operations in July 2011 through the Suape Port and Industrial Complex.

On January 4, 2014 the toll collection was authorized, but the operation began in November 2011, after the signing of the rolling and transfer of goods term, when the User Assistance Service (SAU) was implemented.

Between 2014, the first year of toll collection, and 2020, there was a decrease of 75% in the number of road accidents, reducing from 219 occurrences to 54 occurrences in the last year.

The surveys of the National Confederation of Transport (CNT) from 2016 to 2019 considered CRA as the Best North-Northeast Highway, with great and good concepts in all evaluated items: signaling, pavement, road geometry and general conditions. Other than that, for four consecutive years, between 2015 and 2018, it was awarded as one of the Best Companies to work for in Pernambuco according to the Great Place to Work (GPTW), and in 205 and 2016 it was awarded the 8th and 7th place in the State and 80th and 70th in the national comparison.

Today, CRA is responsible for the administration of a 44 km road system, comprising the PE-009, VPE-052 and VPE-034, providing more safety, comfort and agility in accessing Suape and Pernambuco’s South Coast. The stretch begins on BR-101 South, in the municipality of Cabo de Santo Agostinho, and continues to PE-038, in the district of Nossa Senhora do Ó, in the municipality of Ipojuca.
